Mongol Derby 2024

August 4th — August 17th

  • The Mongol Derby is described as the worlds longest and toughest horserace

  • The race recreates the mail delivery system of Genghis Khan and spans over 1000km across the Mongolian Steppe

  • Only 45 riders are chosen per year to compete, out of hundreds of International participants

  • I will be riding 27-30 horses 25+- miles each, over a period of 7-10 days

The Organizations I am Supporting

  • The Steppe & Hoof

    A non-profit organization which has been set up to help herders and their horses in Mongolia who have been severely affected by urbanization and Climate Change. In an attempt to help preserve the nomadic lifestyles of the Mongolian herders.

  • Work to Ride

    A non-profit community-based prevention program that aids under-resourced urban youth through constructive activities centered on horsemanship, equine sports and education.

  • Colby's Crew Rescue

    A non-profit horse rescue organization based out of Charlottesville, VA. Focused on saving horses from slaughter. Colby’s rescues, medically treats, physically an psychologically rehabilitates, re(trains), and places horses in appropriate forever homes.
